These are actors consent forms, we completed these as we wanted to make sure that the actors we used were happy with the footage, therefore we managed it in a professional way. As some of our actors aren't 18 we needed to make sure that they got a parent/guardian to sign them over the age of 18 to make sure we could use them in our opening.

Initial ideas for costume
Costume-
For the victims, we were looking at using casual clothing. This is because it will connote the idea that they don't know what is happening to them, therefore being in everyday life clothes. We were looking at ideas of dressing in dark or bright colours. Firstly, we looked at the colour red being shown, to show the idea of danger. Which we then compared to the colours black and grey, connoting the idea of being overshadowed by something. In our case, the hacker. However, we thought that the colour red could connote blood, which is more for the genre horror.
For the antagonist, we compared the two ideas of costume to be a dark or black hoodie, to shield his identity from the audience. Another type of costume was a black jacket, with a type mask to add a sinister feel, being a another way of hiding his identity.

Initial Ideas On Props
Props-
Props we were looking at were a laptop. a mobile phone, a cctv camera, web cam, and a computer. We have considered using these, as they are all types of camera that the antagonist is able to hack into. However, through research, the cctv footage is unavailable, therefore using a normal camera to replicate this.

We are using these props as these are the sorts of things that people/audiences would stereotypically think about when people talk about 'hacking'. This means we can easily put across the message of whats happening making it an a lot more enjoyable and straight forward message for the audience.

Draft Storyboard
This story board was our original idea, but we changed our initial idea to make our opening better, this therefore meant that we had to change our storyboard to our new idea.
This will help when making our opening as it will show our idea clearly so that whenever we need to look over it we can so we can reach our overall goal easier.

Our 25 word film brief
Film concept, male being followed, not knowing identity, stalker gets mobile number, hacks phone, finds location, takes male, male escapes and gets stalker found out.
This helps to make our opening as it gives a small summary of what our film includes, therefore throughout our filming we will know exactly what to include without searching for a long while.

How we organised our props and costumes
PROPS
We organised our props (MacBook and IPhone) by using peoples in our group, so we didn't have to buy a new one or make anything that didn't look realistic. We used resources from people in our group, so it wasn't difficult to get the props and them always be available when we decided to film.
COSTUME
This was similar with costume, as it was casual clothing. Before hand, we all discussed who would wear what, such as, colour wise and how it would be accessible. It was a case of the actors providing what they had that was the correct colours (grey and/or black), so it was easier and less time consuming.

Our Audience Moodboard
Our target audience will mainly be 16-25 year olds, both males and females. We decided this was a good audience look, as our genre is a thriller and this is enjoyed by both genders. This mood board shows the types of people we wanted to view our film. We will use the uses and gratifications theory, meaning the audience actively seek out specific media to satisfy specific needs. This is because we haven't got a theme or message that makes the audience want to believe it is a positive idea.
By doing this mood board it allows us to gain a full understanding of the idea of what our target audience will look like. This then means we have a clear understanding of what conventions we should include to make sure we attract these types of people.

Location Scouting
This is one of the locations we considered filming in for the 'living room' scene as it was well lit but however wasn't very well spaced out. By us all being very close together means that we would all be a little too close and it would give it not very natural look especially as there is three of us. So therefore we chose to use our second location for the final cuts as it was well lit and more spaced out.
We then needed another location for a different scene that we are going to film with different characters in order to show a variety of characters in our storyline. we have decided to pick a location like a kitchen because this is a very natural setting for someone to be in. We wanted to choose a big kitchen because we wanted there to be space and room.
We then thought of finding somewhere else we could film to, again make it as realistic as possible as we were filming a film about technology and the risks of you being hacked.
Our Chosen Institutional logo
Our chosen institutional logo is going to be -

We have collectively chosen that this will be the logo to represent our company as we think that it is a clear representation of our film company and our name. We have chosen to animate it as we feel our institutional logo will look much better and more like a mainstream company if it is animated. We have chosen to use two pictures in order to make the institutional logo move.

Celebrity Casting
If we were to cast celebrities in our film I think we would definatinatley stay with the younger aged Celebs. This would be purely because it would be attractive to our target audience and certification, as our audience would be able to relate to the films content and characters because of the age similarities. For the main character of the teenager being hacked the person who would fit the description perfectly would be someone like Tom Holland or Nick Robinson. One of these tow would be perfect because they are two or Hollywood's rising stars and would be perfect for our target audience as they are both relatable as they are of similar age of our audience. They would also be perfect because of their personalities as they are both younger so they both have the perfect look and fashion for a young, social media obsessed, teenager just making it through his last year at high school. For the supporting cast I would, again, stick with young cast such as; Chloe Grace-Moretz, Zendaya Colman. The reason for this being that they would all have to play teenage students in high school and having young actors playing these characters and these role would be beneficial to the storyline and the portrayal of the story to out audience. They would also be perfect for the role as they as both young and influential teens they would be perfect for our target audience as they as relatable and have the right look for young teens. Sticking with the young cast I would cast Nicholas Hoult as the hacker. The reason for this being that I think he has the right look as the type of person who is bit of and outcast from school and normal society and would therefore be perfect to play a secluded character such as the hacker. Furthermore, I think he has the perfect look as he could potentially be make to look a bit like an outcast and a little different from the rest. This would be perfect for the story line and the audience as he is young and some may resonate with him. This will help us when creating our film opening as we will be able to get a full picture of what we want to see in the characters portrayal through the storyline.
Attracting our Target Audience
There are many factors that we need to consider when creating our film opening as we need to work out what is going to really attract our target audience to want to go and watch our film. An example of this would making sure the content is based around the certification of the film. This is to ensure that all of the content included in the film is going to be suitable for the right target audience, otherwise if the reoccurring dominant certification is a 12 then our actual certification of a 15 won't be enticed to go and watch our film as much. We need to take into full consideration what our target audience want to see in our film and what will be encouraging for them to watch out film. Our aim is to make sure that everything added into our film opening is the correct content for the correct certification to ensure full enjoyment of the film by our audience. This is going help us in creating a successful film for the right audience as we will make sure that all of the best ideas for various films are all incorporated in to one product to be the most appealing to our audience. In our film opening we are going make sure it is captivating and builds tension at the same time, this will entice the audience to keep watching as they want to find out what happens in the rest of the whole film. In a film opening I think the building of tension is one of the key aspects of creating a successful film as it keeps the audience wanting the know more and more. This will help us in creating in our film as we can make sure that we are constantly considering our target audience and what they want to see in our film opening.
Our target audience
Our target audience would be teenagers and young adults. The main reason for this is because out films certification is 15 and this is because we are aiming for the older section of the younger generation. The reason for this being that our film will contain some bad language and harsh content. This is because we are showing the story of a young teenager getting stalked through social media and technology. We are aiming to make a film that would be appealing to the younger people through including content that such people can relate to, for example the relation to social media. This is one of the main reason for us basing our film on the older teens and younger adults because social media is a big part of our society especially for the younger generations. We are also going to be adding in other aspects of content that they can relate to such as the balance between the social life and school life of a teenager. This film is also relatable as this film gives you a look at what it looks like to grow up in a society now days. We also wanted to make a film that we inspired by other films like our one that had done very well with the similar target audience. We wanted to gain the inspiration from many successful films with the same certification and take elements that we liked and interpret them in our own way, to then incorporate them altogether to create the perfect film. This will help us when creating our film as we will be able to see what we actually want to see as a product of our creation.

Our film moodboard
This will help us because we are able to see all of our inspiration for our final project all in one.
Our film title
We have chosen the title 'unknown', as we believe it is an ambiguous word for the audience. We also believe that it doesn't give away the film narrative, and will attract the audience, making them think. As it is a one word title, it will provoke curiosity from the target audience which will draw them into our film. Leading our film to success, from our wide target audience.

Group research on the institutional logo
As we are a mainstream company, our institutional logo will have to move to fit the standard of other mainstream companies. A good example would be the Universal logo with the title moving around the World. As we are called Red Hood Productions, we want to try and make a red hood folding down as if someone is taking off their hood. This moving logo would show that we are a professional company who can match the standards of their rivals (Big Six). As we will need another company to help make our film we thought of something that would look quite eye catching as a moving logo, we named the company A Clock Work Film. The logo would be the clocking ticking around a whole 12 hours clockwise. The two moving logos would mean that the overall standards of our opening will look a lot better.

Audience Figure Research
The top three films for the genre thriller at the moment are all mainstream films, this is because a mainstream audience is very drawn to this genre as it is very popular. The three films are:
- Logan (2017)
- John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)
- Alien: Covenant (2017)
The audience figures most likely to watch our films would be older teenagers to middle age people, this is due to the films being trended and advertised on social media as that is the newest and most efficient way. These are high quality films and would most likely to be shown in multiplex cinemas as well, they would also most likely be available in 3D as well which would mean the audience would most likely be younger as well.
This will help when making our own opening as we will know the target audience to aim for, this will mean we could get our certificate right, as well as what to include in our film to make it successful. All of these three films include a gripping story line as well as scenes that can intrigue the viewers, which we could get idea's from to add into our own opening.

Characters in our film
Main victim of being hacked- Ashley Ransom
Character- 17 years old, college student, friends with Millie and Lizzie
Personality- friendly, vulnerable, clever
Victim starring in opening- Chloe Brown
Character- 16 years old, school student, family friends with Ashley
Personality- innocent, dumb blonde, kind
Victim starring in opening- Abbey Davis
Character- 17 years old, college student, friends with Ashley
Personality- intellectual, bold
Another victim in opening- Laura Johnson
Character- 18 years old, student
Personality- stuck up, vlogger
Hacker- Freddy Jones
Character- 40 years old, unemployed
Personality- creepy, weird

We will include these characters in our opening, as we have the idea to have many victims that the hacker will target. Meaning there is more footage and cameras he hacks in to. However, there wold be one main victim that would potentially follow if there was a full film.

The Whole Film
We have got several different scenes throughout our film with different settings. This is as we want to fully represent the scale of what is happening, to therefore cause anxiousness and confusion among our audience, this will also make it a lot more tense as the audience will be able to see the lengths the hacker is going to. Most of the scenes will be based in the house at which the hacker is trying to get into, but we will be filming is certain busy locations to portray how hidden the hacker actually is, as the surrounding busy area's hide him.
This will help with my film as if we know what the whole film includes then it will help us with the beginning, this is as we don't want to give anything away. This means we have a good indication on how to interest the audience, but without giving anything major away.
Scene 1 - Webcam Filming:
This scene will consist of screen recording and people acting as if they are in a normal/private environment not knowing that they are being filmed, this will create a tense atmosphere as the audience may feel uncomfortable watching t as it could happen to anyone.
Scene 2 - Shot of Laptop Screen:
This will have error hacking codes coming up on the screen to portray the hackers intentions of getting into their computers personal files/data.
Example -
Scene 3 - Webcam Filming:
This will mostly include Ashley speaking to the webcam as he is on his laptop and is unaware of being filmed, he will be acting very natural due to him feeling that he is in his own private environment.
Scene 4 - Car Scene:
We will be in the car tasking videos and pictures for Snapchat, in the background their will be the sign 'Tupman Close' which is Lizzie's road, therefore the hacker will see.
Scene 5 - Hacker Scene, leaving the room:
The hacker will be shown with an over the shoulder shot whilst he is on his computer, he will then shut his computer and walk out of the room as he will have all of the information he needs.
Scene 6 - Ashley Vlogging:
This will have Ashley speaking to the camera again as if nothing is happening as he still doesn,t know about the hacker.
Scene 7 - Mysterious things happening to computers:
The computers will start acting weirdly in Ashley's house, hey will start moving on their own as if someone is controlling them (hacker).

Our Film Certificate
Our film is going to be a 15, because it is a more mature subject, that a younger audience wouldn't understand. Our film is a 15 because it will include some strong language and some threat, which isn't permitted by a younger audience. This means that our film will won't get complaints from being unsuitable.
The BBFC states that no one under the age of 15 should view that film as it may include:
Some sexual context, not shown in detail
Strong language
May be strong threat and horror
Drug use may be taken but not promoted
Dangerous behaviour (e.g. suicide) may be shown but not promoted to happen
By using this guide, it will allow us to correctly certify our film, without any problems with audiences.

Our chosen genre
The genre we have chosen is thriller, this is because it appeals to large audience. As it has a large target audience, the film will be more likely to be successful. It also allows us to include many different conventions to do with narrative. We can include conventions such as, building tension through non diegetic sound, and a chain of bad events. We intend to make sure our genre is shown through mise-en-scene, such as low key lighting and dark costume when the antagonist is shown.
